Cabalgate2006 |
The Cabalgate is a trip on horseback through the surroundings of the organizing village, in this case Belén de Nicoya in Costa Rica. The purpose is almost always to collect funds for the school. The whole village participates as volunteers in the sales of food and drink, while the guests come from all over the neighbouring villages. Other sponsors come with gifts, which are sold in auctions for ridiculous prices, as the buyers want to show off how much they care about their village. The evening always ends with a dance in the local "salon".
